CMI's 200th birthday celebrated in Budapest20/10/2017

The year 2017 is a symbolic year marking the bicentenary of the arrival of John Cockerill in Seraing. About fifteen years ago, CMI was an exclusively Belgian company in Liege. Employing 1,200 employees, its turnover amounted to € 358 million. How manny things have happened since then! CMI became a global group, it has now 4,600 employees and last year did 1, 2 billion € of turnover (in 2015, it was 1.3 billion). The operating result slightly exceeded the historical record of 2015 (€ 113 million). The result of a policy of technological and geographic diversification that the Group has pursued and amplified throughout 2016. CMI has been a success story in all four corners of the world over the past years sector by sector.

An event was organized at the Belgian Embassy of Budapest where partners and officials were invited to participate at the birthday celebration presenting the longstanding history of this Walloon company.
